The Countdown Begins

I am 39 weeks pregnant today. I'll post belly bump pictures this evening...Scouts Honor! Instead of reaching the full 40 weeks, Aaron and I get to meet our Little Man in just FIVE DAYS. My nerves haven't kicked in, so freak out mode hasn't occurred...yet. I am still in awe and feel utter excitement that the day I get to meet and hold my son is literally right around the corner. I'm wondering if I'll do nothing but stare into his little eyes or start off by telling him the million things I know I want to say to him; if he'll right off the bat recognize my voice and his daddy's; how pissed he'll be that he's being taken out of his comfy sleeping spot and getting circumcised all in the same day...Sorry Nolan! Mostly I can't wait to see Nolan in his daddy's arms. Listening to Aaron talk about his son and seeing the way he has gotten so involved in this pregnancy, always wanting to know how I'm feeling about this or that, has solidified my feeling that Aaron is going to make one hell of a daddy to our little boy. FIVE DAYS. Holy moly. Tuesday, November 16, we'll arrive at the hospital by 10am to start prepping, and the surgery will begin at noon. I'm hoping by 1pm I'll have Nolan in my arms.

Today starts another countdown, which if I'm being honest I actually started quite a while ago. Starting tomorrow at 4 (or 3ish.. ;), I am trading in my suits and bad attitude for the life of a real 'A Real Housewife.' Yes, I'm a bit petrified to turn in my paychecks and the ability to shop with reckless abandon, but what I'm getting in return is so worth it to Aaron and me. So beginning tomorrow afternoon, I'm starting a whole new chapter in my life. CAN.NOT.WAIT!!
